A Mini Session with Mr. Max

Max is back and he is 4 months old!  This little guy has been featured on my blog since he was in his mommy's belly and I am loving photographing him every few months!  This session was probably one of the fastest I have ever done.  I think it took all of 30 minutes, because that's all the Mr.Max was willing to tolerate!  Luckily with that porcelain skin and baby blue eyes hes extremely photogenic and we were able to get some fantastic shots.  Mom and Dad even got in on the action this time.  Aren't they just adorable?  They are completely enamoured of their son and it show.  Enjoy!

Dandelion Wishes

Ahhh....the amount of beauty in these pictures is almost overwhelming!  You may recognize these little beauties from an earlier session, and you way also notice that there are an overabundance of pictures in this post.  I couldn't help myself...there is nothing better than a chunky monkey little baby and a sassy toddler.  The sun was just perfect on this day out at this family's country home, and thier old front porch and surrounding land are a photographers dream!  If I had this space, I would insist all my clients come to me for shoots!!!  Everything just came together perfectly.  There were endless opportunities for fantastic shots and that's just what we got!  These are the two youngest daughters of one of my dear friends, and I've hadthe pleasure of photographing them since they were newborns.  Grace, the older of the two, is one of my favorite subjects to capture.  I never have to direct her...it's more like she is directing me!  I captured a perfect moment in time when she picked a dead dandelion and wished for "a rainbow cake with pink icing.  Wish, wish, wish, wish!".  It was the sweetest most real moment, and I was able to capture the dandelion floating away.  In fact, I think it is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken.  This photo is the reason I love photography, because even though baby sister was getting fussy, mom was trying to entertain her, and bugs were swarming around us, I was able to capture such a sweet memory and moment in time that otherwise would have floated away along with little Grace's dandelion wishes!  Grace's birthday happens to be tomorrow and I hope she gets to celebrate with that pink iced rainbow cake!

Just As Expected!

This shoot was with one of my dearest friends in the world, Mandy!  Little Miss Dakota Sky is due in a few weeks, and I have to admit I am very jealous of her uber perfect pregnancy!  Once she and her hubby decided they were ready for a little one, boom, she was pregnant.  She hasn't had the morning sickness that plagued me from day one until the minute my son was born, she's barely gained any weight, no acne, no swelling, no stretch marks and the list goes on and on.  I mean, this woman was seriously made for making babies!  I have told her (only slightly jokingly) that I would pay her large amounts of money to carry my next child for me!  She has managed to look gorgeous and actually have the 'preganancy glow' that I've only heard about all through her pregnancy, so it was just as expected that her maternity photos turned out exceptionally beautiful!  I won't be the least bit surprised if she just sneezes one day and little Dakota pops right out with a little bow on her head and her toe nails painted!  In all seriousness, this pregnancy is a very special one for me.  Mandy and I have a very special bond and have since the day we met in college.  We've been through all the major phases of life together and she's always been there for me.  She's truly like a sister to me and I am beyond thrilled to see her take on the role of motherhood.  I'm sure she'll handle it with ease and grace...just as expected.

I had to trow this one in because Riley is so goofy!

I heart this one because it's such a classic Mandy face!
