A Little Firecracker Turns One!

Holy Humidity!  Was it ever hot on this sweltering July evening when I shot these one year photos of this little firecracker!  This little guy has a special place in my heart, and it's not just because of that red hair and those baby blues the size of saucers!  I 'walked' with his mama through her journey to conceive him, her oh so fun pregnancy (please note sarcasm), and her surprise early delivery, so it's very special to photograph little Jacob a year after his 5 pound little self came flying into the world. Jacob is one year, one month and one day younger than the Cash man, which works out great for his mama because she gets his hand me downs, and works out great for me because I get to remember what my own little man was like exactly a year prior.  This year he's already decided he's to cool to hold my hand walking into daycare.....Sigh....they grow up TOO fast!  I just love this family!  Jacob is clearly the apple of his mommy and daddy's eyes, not to mention he's daddy's little doppelgangers.  Mom also happens to have one of my favorite laughs in the world; loud and boisterous (like mine:)), and I was able to capture that laughter and many other real exchanges between this little threesome.  A big thanks to Mitch for providing his stellar modeling skills, and commentary, (Ohhh double block action!), to keep the laughter going.   Try to look at these pictures and not fall in love with this little Gerber baby.  Do it- I dare you!

The Lovely Lyric, Liam and Luca David

Meet these lovely siblings Lyric, Liam and Luca David!  What a fun shoot this was!  It took place on a scorching hot Saturday morning downtown at the canal, and we had to contend with a mass of people taking part in a race that day (oops, poor planning on my part- fail!), but these kids were incredibly patient and easy going, so it all worked out okay!  These siblings are the kind of young adults you want your kids to grow up to be like.  Incredibly polite, well mannered, intelligent and fun, not to mention they are all three gorgeous!  Kudos to their parents and grandmother, who happens to be a friend of mine, for raising such well rounded and kind kids.  There was an occasional eye roll or "are you kidding me?" look at some of the poses I asked them to do, but hey what can you expect from a group of tweenagers; even incredibly well mannered ones?!?!?  ....And get a load of some of the faces the youngest was throwing me!  That kid definietly has some modeling and/or acting in his future!  Thanks L's for tolerating me!

A Living Doll!

Oops, I did it again!  I got totally snap happy with a little doll!!!  How could I not? That perfect porcelain skin and little mouth those ice blue eyes...swoon!  God really knows what he's doing when he makes babies!  I mean really, in some of the photos I'm certain I could convince someone she is one of those 'Living Dolls'.  This little 6 month old diva, Amelia, was teething and tired and not really in the mood for paparazzi, but I still managed to capture her angelic little self!  This was an extra fun shoot, as Amelia's Mama is an old college friend of mine and we haven't seen each other in years!  That is one of the best things about being a photographer, reuniting with old friends and meeting new ones.  It's always awesome to see people I knew ' back in the day' evolve into parents!  You could just feel the love radiating between these two!  Their adoration for each other was clearly mutual!  I'm so thankful that I got to reunite with Amelia's mommy and meet this precious little doll baby.  I definitely won't let another ten years pass by before we see each other again!
