Jumping for Joy!

It's official, winter is right around the corner.  Boo!  Hiss!  This was my last outdoor shoot of the year....sigh....  Oh how I will miss the sun and natural light and endless opportunities for kids to run and play!  This family totally took advantage of the day and we explored all the nooks and crannies of their huge and beautiful yard, although we all ended up with bright red frozen noses by the time we were finished.  (Sorry mom if any of the kiddos ended up with runny noses this week! Yikes!).  I even snapped some pictures of them jumping their little hearts out on their trampoline.  It looked so fun I was seriously tempted to join in!  My husband has been trying to convince me for some time that our two and half year old is old enough for a trampoline, and I've been telling him he's too little, but this little girl just turned two last week, and she was jumping like a pro.  I think it's time for the Pierson's to get a trampoline!  Thanks H family for being such troopers and enjoying the last semi-warm weekend that we'll see for a while with me.  Enjoy!

Happy Holidays From The Hargett's!

Holiday photo sessions are under way!  I don't know about you, but I love getting Christmas cards in the mail and I especially love getting photo cards in the mail.  Admittedly, I toss the generic cards we get as soon as the tree comes down, but if I get a photo card I tuck it away away with my Christmas decorations and I love looking through the little collection of the faces I love every year.  I actually got my own Christmas cards printed today and am trying to restrain myslelf from mailing them out before Thanksgiving!  It's hard not to get into the holiday spirit way too early with all these little muchkins decked out in their holiday best with candy cane drool dripping down their little chins!  I just love photographing this particular family!  There are always lots of laughs which make for a fun shoot.  I photographed this little guy over the summer for his first birthday, and he has grown like a weed and mastered walking since, and I didn't think it was possible, but I think his eyes may have gotten bigger and bluer!  I'm sure he will bring lots of smiles to faces as they check their mail this holiday season!

JD and B x 3!

Meet the Stewart's, Jason, Denise, Brooklyn, Blaine and Blake.  This was my first time photographing twins, 20 month old boy twins at that, so I admittedly was a little nervous about what kind of shots, we might get.  Their big sister warned me "Good luck, we never get a good picture with both of them.  They just run around and scream like pterodactyl's"  Ha!  So, I must say I was rather pleased with the results.  Although I didn't get many of the two boys together, we did meet mom and dad's objectives....a picture for the Christmas card where everyone is looking at the camera and no one is crying, and some good individuals of each.  I was THRILLED for these parents to accomplish the family picture.  As a parent and a photographer I know how incredibly hard it is to get a family photo with my one toddler looking at the camera!  Big sister was a natural with the camera and Blake and Blaine (I'm not even going to try to pretend to know which is which) sat still just long enough to get some of the most beautiful, sweet close ups I've ever gotten thanks to my toddler bait:  bubbles, bongos and a guitar!  All three have huge beautiful brown eyes that will melt your heart and a little sprinkle of freckles across their noses.  I must be one really lucky photographer to always have such beautiful subjects!  Thanks for asking me to capture your wonderful little family Stewarts. Enjoy!
